On the eve of National Day, the festivities took place in Mamer in a friendly atmosphere. However, due to the extreme heat, the parade had to be canceled, and the participants gathered directly at the church for the Te Deum. <\/span><\/p>\n In his speech beneath the Skyliner, Mayor Luc Feller noted that National Day is a symbol of unity and diversity. He also emphasized that this was the first National Day during the reign of the new Grand Duke Guillaume, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the country\u2019s history. <\/span><\/p>\n Three municipal employees were honored for their long-standing commitment to serving the municipality. Christian Jemming received the Vermeil Medal of the Oak Crown, while Tom Plune and Laurent Hansen were named Knights of the Oak Crown.
