The community of Mamer has a new village hall. There were nothing but satisfied faces at the inauguration of the W\u00ebllebau in Mamer. <\/span>Mayor Luc Feller, aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, alderwoman Francine Closener and members of the local council represented the municipality at the inauguration. <\/span><\/p>\n In his speech, the mayor retraced the building’s history. Its walls had been the venue for a number of festivities and balls. It was also the rehearsal hall for the “W\u00ebll”, as the musicians of the Harmonie Union Mamer, the predecessor of the HGM, were called. But first and foremost, it was a meeting place for local residents, right in the center of Mamer,” emphasized Luc Feller, adding that the reallocation was aimed precisely at preserving this role. That’s why it was decided to install a village hall and a brasserie in the W\u00ebllebau. He wished the building’s operator every success. In addition, it was important that the design of the protected building should reflect its historic use.
