True to tradition, the Commune de Mamer was keen to salute the sportsmen and women who finished the season with a national title or outstanding performance.<\/p>\n

The ceremony took place during the Nuit du Sport at Brill Park, and honored the ladies of VC Mamer, KC Avenir Holzem and the gentlemen of FC Mamer 32.<\/p>\n


Tom Kerschenmeyer, Chairman of the Sports and Leisure Commission, looked back on the highlights of the year: the volleyball team’s historic hat-trick, the bowlers’ Luxembourg Cup victory, as well as FC Mamer 32’s promotion to the BGL League and Promotion d’Honneur title.<\/p>\n


Mayor Luc Feller, flanked by aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, and alderwoman Francine Closener, underlined the municipality’s pride in its clubs, highlighting the associations’ commitment to sport, team spirit and good management.<\/p>\n


The ceremony concluded with a presentation of flowers to the ladies and a bottle to the gentlemen.<\/p>\n
