{"id":35568,"date":"2024-12-16T10:17:19","date_gmt":"2024-12-16T09:17:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mamer.lu\/inauguration-of-the-new-school-swimming-pool-at-the-kinneksbond-site\/"},"modified":"2024-12-16T10:17:20","modified_gmt":"2024-12-16T09:17:20","slug":"inauguration-of-the-new-school-swimming-pool-at-the-kinneksbond-site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mamer.lu\/en\/inauguration-of-the-new-school-swimming-pool-at-the-kinneksbond-site\/","title":{"rendered":"Inauguration of the new school swimming pool at the Kinneksbond site"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>The new school swimming pool at the Kinneksbond campus in Mamer was officially inaugurated in the presence of the Minister for Sport, Georges Mischo.<\/p>\n<p>The long-awaited project is a major achievement for the municipality, as Mayor Luc Feller, accompanied by Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>The modern infrastructure will enable all pupils in the municipality&#8217;s primary schools to learn to swim before the end of their primary education. It will also provide local sports clubs, including the Trispeed triathlon club, with a suitable environment in which to train. <\/p>\n<p>From January 2025, the first swimming lessons will be held in the new facility. Later in the year, the pool will also be open to the public as part of a test phase. <\/p>\n<p>The pool features a 25-metre main pool and a 15-metre training pool with a height-adjustable floor to facilitate learning and training. Three lifeguards are on hand at all times to ensure the safety of users. <\/p>\n<p>During the construction of the building, which includes a basement sports hall for table tennis and an airtramp, particular attention was paid to an environmentally-friendly design that meets energy class A standards.
