37 years after the idea of founding a theater club was first mooted at a “Grillfest”, the association Theaterk\u00ebscht Mamer was disbanded in the spring of 2024 due to a lack of new members.<\/p>\n
Given the excellent work carried out over the years, as President Georges Neuens pointed out, the decision was taken to donate the fund to 8 NGOs.<\/p>\n
At a celebration at the Mamer Schlass, a cheque for 2,000 euros was presented to representatives of M\u00e9decins du Monde, Plooschter Projet, St\u00ebmm vun der Strooss, Een H\u00e4erz fir kriibskrank Kanner, Amulanz Wonsch, \u00cele aux Clowns, Amnesty International and Fondation Autisme.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Georges Neuens, in the presence of Alderman Roger Negri, Alderwoman Francine Closener, members of the local council and former actors, looked back over the association’s long history and recalled some of its highlights.<\/p>\n
Alderman Roger Negri thanked the members of the Theaterk\u00ebscht Mamer for their many years of commitment and for the valuable cultural enrichment they have offered the municipality over almost four decades.<\/p>\n
