{"id":27838,"date":"2024-06-19T17:37:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-19T15:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mamer.lu\/leisure-facilities\/"},"modified":"2025-10-31T11:21:41","modified_gmt":"2025-10-31T10:21:41","slug":"leisure-facilities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mamer.lu\/en\/social-life\/sports-leisure\/leisure-facilities\/","title":{"rendered":"Leisure facilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Leisure facilities<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Parc Brill Mamer<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Brill park, which is both a place of relaxation and recreation, is located behind the municipal administration. 2016 saw the opening of the &#8220;Am Parc Brill&#8221; pavilion.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Brill Park includes the following facilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>several children&#8217;s play areas<\/li>\n<li>a mini-stadium<\/li>\n<li>a basketball court<\/li>\n<li>two table tennis tables<\/li>\n<li>a skate park<\/li>\n<li>the Boulder walls<\/li>\n<li>a pavilion serving drinks and snacks to park visitors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>&#8220;Op der Dr\u00ebps<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Dr\u00ebps&#8221; is a leisure area on the edge of the municipal forest and near the &#8220;Thillsmillen&#8221;, to discover with your family or friends during the summer.<\/p>\n<p>Barbecue sites, tables and benches are also available.<\/p>\n<p>To enhance the value of the &#8220;Dr\u00ebps&#8221;, information boards have been installed. An educational trail begins on the site. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Op des Dreps is a public place, accessible to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>However, the ch\u00e2let and public toilets can no longer be booked until further notice.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Self-guided walking and cycling routes<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>In the municipality of Mamer, you can enjoy an exceptional landscape far from any road traffic on the &#8220;<span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mdt.public.lu\/fr\/infrastructures\/sentiers-pedestres\/dep-sentier-fr-nl-mamer-2011.pdf\">Mamer trail<\/a><\/span>&#8221; between Mamer, Kopstal and Mersch (total 22km). In addition, the commune offers numerous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitluxembourg.com\/fr\/luxembourg\/mamer\">other self-guided hiking trails<\/a> in idyllic locations.<\/p>\n<p>Two cycle paths, part of the national cycle path network, cross the commune:<\/p>\n<h5><span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pch.public.lu\/reseau_routier\/pistes_cyclables\/pc13\/index.html\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Nicolas Frantz cycle path<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The popular cycle path, named Nicolas Frantz, was inaugurated in 2008 and runs for 12 kilometers from Strassen, via Mamer and Holzem to Garnich. Shortly before reaching Steinfort, the trail connects with the &#8220;Piste cyclable de l&#8217;Attert&#8221;. <\/p>\n<h5><span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pch.public.lu\/reseau_routier\/pistes_cyclables\/pc14\/index.html\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Eisch-Mamer cycle path<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The Eisch-Mamer cycle path starts in Mamer and runs for 18 kilometers. Linking Mamer and Mersch, the trail passes through Capellen and Kehlen. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Mamer Wiselen Scout Home<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Address:<br \/><\/strong>107, route d&#8217;Arlon<br \/>L-8211 Mamer<br \/>Tel. : 31 70 18<\/p>\n<p>The Mamer Wiselen group was founded in 1977 and is represented by a large number of active members.<br \/>The chalet is located on the outskirts of Mamer, in the direction of Capellen.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Caper Piwitschen Scout Home<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Address:<br \/><\/strong>11, Rannerwee<br \/>L-8301 Capellen<br \/>Tel.: 26 10 21 66<\/p>\n<p>The Caper Piwitschen scout group was officially founded in 1981.<\/p>\n<p>The Caper Piwitschen chalet in Capellen has been in existence since 2003, and has over 150 active members. In addition to their activities, the scouts are also involved in social and cultural work. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Verk\u00e9iersgaart (Traffic Garden)<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>The &#8220;Verk\u00e9iersgaart&#8221; (traffic garden) has been set up at the Sports and Leisure Park in Capellen to promote road safety education. A practice area enables children to familiarize themselves with traffic rules and raise their awareness of the dangers of the road. The facility also includes a chalet serving as a classroom and a shelter for around 30 bicycles.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Play areas<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The municipality of Mamer currently boasts over 20 playgrounds, almost all of which have been awarded the &#8220;S\u00e9cher Spillplazen&#8221; label. Located in the districts of Mamer, Capellen and Holzem, in the Brill Park and the Sports and Leisure Park in Capellen, as well as on the &#8220;Kinneksbond&#8221; school campus, they offer play and social areas for children and parents alike. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Capellen Sports and Leisure Park<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The sports and leisure park at Rannerwee in Capellen is a place to relax in the midst of nature.
