{"id":27351,"date":"2024-06-11T16:13:59","date_gmt":"2024-06-11T14:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mamer.lu\/klimabundnis-gemeng\/"},"modified":"2026-08-05T12:25:50","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T10:25:50","slug":"klimabundnis-gemeng","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mamer.lu\/en\/environment-mobility\/environment\/klimabundnis-gemeng\/","title":{"rendered":"Klimab\u00fcndnis Gemeng"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Klimab\u00fcndnis Gemeng<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 1995, a number of municipalities joined forces with the NGOs &#8220;Actions Solidarit\u00e9 Tiers Monde&#8221; and &#8220;Mouvement \u00c9cologique&#8221; to found the &#8220;Klima-B\u00fcndnis L\u00ebtzebuerg\/Luxembourg Climate Alliance &#8220;, whose motto was &#8220;Think globally, act locally&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To date, the \u201cKlima-B\u00fcndis L\u00ebtzebuerg\u201d network has 37 member municipalities. The member municipalities are working to protect the climate, with one of their goals being to achieve a sustainable reduction in greenhouse gas emissions within their municipal boundaries. In addition, municipal leaders are committed to supporting indigenous peoples in the Global South, who are most often affected by the harmful consequences of climate change.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although each municipality acts independently, the exchange of information and experiences among the various member municipalities plays an important role in achieving the established goals.
