As temperatures continue to rise, water consumption has increased significantly in recent weeks, and the Syndicat des Eaux du Sud has announced that the threshold for triggering “Phase Orange” has been reached.
In order to prevent a potential water shortage and preserve essential reserves, it is necessary to take immediate measures to reduce water consumption and preserve the reserves that are essential for supplying the population.
To that end, the following prohibitions are being implemented effective immediately:
- washing vehicles, except at professional car washes;
- washing sidewalks, garages, driveways, and building facades;
- filling private swimming pools, above-ground (inflatable) pools, or private bodies of water;
- water replacement in private swimming pools;
- The use of a pressure washer;
- the operation of fountains, except for those operating in a closed-loop system;
- cooling food and beverages under running water,
- Irrigation of lawns, parks, cemeteries, and sports fields, except for new
plantings.
Thank you for your understanding.
